The American Legion Auxiliary is one of the world’s oldest patriotic women’s organizations. Founded in 1919, today’s Auxiliary has nearly 1 million members in 9,500+ communities. Unit 5 is the chapter at Post 5 in Rome.

2nd Monday of each month · 6:00 PM Brookdale Senior Living 180 Woodrow Wilson Way, Rome, GA 30165

The Auxiliary meets the same evening as Post 5, at a separate location nearby.

Legion Riders

The American Legion Riders is the motorcycle-riding extension of the Legion family. Founded in 1993, ALR members participate in fundraising rides for scholarships and veteran charities, escort military funerals as part of the Patriot Guard, and ride in community parades and Memorial Day observances.

To join Legion Riders, you must first be a member of The American Legion, the Auxiliary, or Sons of the American Legion.

Sons of the American Legion — Squadron 5

The Sons of the American Legion (SAL) was created in 1932 to give the male descendants of American Legion-eligible veterans a way to honor their service and continue the work of the Legion. Squadron 5 is the SAL chapter attached to Post 5.
